1. Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal

 

 When talking about expensive weddings, this name had to be on the list. Isha Ambani, the only daughter of India’s richest industrialist, tied the knot with Anand Piramal, a real estate entrepreneur at the Ambani’s 27 storey home, the Antilia. If the invitation alone cost three lakhs, then you can imagine the rest. The fairytale engagement happened along the beautiful lake Camo, one of the popular lakes in Italy. The Ambani’s also hosted a grand pre-wedding celebration in Udaipur which hit the headlines. The guest list included former US lady Hillary Clinton, Henry Travis, famous Bollywood stars, and, how can I not mention the live performance by American pop sensation, Beyonce.  2. Sushanto Roy and Seemanto Roy

Subrato Roy, the chairman of Sahara India Pariwar, hosted a lavish wedding worth 552 crores. His sons Sushanto Roy with Richa and Seemanto Roy with Chandini got married in a double wedding ceremony, at Sahar Auditorium in Lucknow. The Venue was beautifully decorated with torch lights, lamps, and prism glasses. More than 10,000 guests attended the wedding. The list included biggies like Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Anil Ambani, Kapil Dev, and Mulayam Singh Yadav. While more than 100 cuisines from all over the world catered to the guest’s taste buds, the soothing performance by a British Symphony Orchestra was a treat to the ears.

3. Brahmani Reddy and Rajeev Reddy

 

 Janardhana Reddy, one of the richest Indian Politician, put up the grandest wedding of 2016 worth 550 Crores, for his daughter at Bengaluru Palace Grounds. The wedding invites worth 5 crores had been making the news months before the actual wedding took place. Over 50,000 guests including politicians and movie stars attend the grand affair. The bride donned attractive Kanjeevaram saree and diamond jewels worth more than 100 crores. Even the demonetization could not stop them from putting up an awe-inspiring show.

4. Vanisha Mittal and Amit Bhatia

 

 If the largest steel magnate in the world doesn’t put up a grand wedding for her daughter, who else would. Vanisha Mittal, daughter of Lakshmi Mittal tied the knot with Amit Bhatia at Paris, in a 6-day extravaganza. The entire celebration cost 350 crores. The engagement took place in the Palace of Versailles, that featured French Opera and Moulin Rouge style cancan dancing. The ceremony also saw stunning dance performances by Bollywood celebrities, choreographed by Farah Khan. Designers, entertainers, artists, and chefs were all experts across the globe. Over 1000 guests flew from India to Paris on jets to experience the royal treatment.

5. Adel Sajan and Sana Khan

 

 The 4-day destination wedding of Adel Sajan, director of Danube group with model Sana Khan, on the luxury cruise liner Costa Fascinosa cost approximately 200 crores. The dreamy wedding was inspired by Zoya Akhtar’s Hindi movie Dil Dhadakne Do, which was entirely shot on a cruise. Over 2 tonnes of flowers from all over the world decorated the ship. Each day of the wedding had a unique theme, from Ethnic regal to Bahrain. A large team of beauticians and stylists flew from around the world to dress up the couple. 75 chefs from India served the guests with mouth-watering delicacies. The guests were also treated with live performances including an aerial act, water rocket show, and dance performances by Bollywood stars

We finally reach the end of the show. Indian weddings are the most happening and extravagant than any other wedding in the whole world.
